Psychological Difficulties of Life Outside of Religion
Main Speaker: Darrell Ray
Music: Chelsea Beech
Main talk Summary:
Life outside of religion can be psychologically and emotionally difficult. How does a person navigate in the real world if they were homeschooled in a fundamentalist religion? What does a young couple do when faced with religious parents wanting to indoctrinate their child? What does an exMuslim do when parents try to force them into a Muslim marriage? How does an exJehovah’s Witness deal with an overwhelming fear of Armageddon?
Darrel Ray is an American organizational psychologist and author who focuses on topics such as workplace organizational culture, secular sexuality, and treatment of religion-induced trauma.
