Main Topic:  What’s the point of secular groups?

Main Speaker: Objectively Dan

Music: Tom Tranchilla and Buddy Allen

Main talk Summary:

TBD

Speaker Bio:

Dan is the host of "Truth Wanted" youtube show and a member of the Atheist Community of Austin.

Dan is from Texas and was raised Methodist growing up (later attending a Baptist church). Dan loved the church community and really lived out his faith. Camp ministry was particularly enjoyable for him.

Dan sought out good reasons to back up his faith. That journey lead him to atheism. His call in show now gets to the bottom of beliefs.

Musician Bio :

Houston based singer-songwriters/instrumentalists Tom Tranchilla & Buddy Allen perform a variety of country, folk, Americana, ragtime, blues, both originals and covers. Tom specializes in finger-style 6 & 12-string acoustic guitars and vocals and “string-wizard” Buddy Allen specializes in guitar, mandolin, fiddle, guitar, banjo (just about everything with strings), as well as vocals. In their 20-year music partnership, Tom & Buddy have released 2 all-instrumental guitar duet CDs/albums: Acoustic Spontaneity and Acoustic Audio Dacity, receiving rave reviews from My Texas Music, Stave Magazine and Houston Folklore Society’s, Cotton Patch. Tom released 2 solo LPs prior to working with Buddy: Sketches of Life, which contains two internet radio chart toppers: Union Man, featured on numerous national labor talk shows, reaching #4 on the Texas Top 40 (texastop40.com) as well as Tom’s arrangement/cover of Tom Ball and Kenny Sultan’s, The Perfect Woman, which reached #2 on the Texas Top 40 charts. In addition, Tom’s debut LP, That Train, was given high reviews and featured in Music News. Tom also hosts KPFT’s, 90.1 weekly radio interview show, Songwriters Studio, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Sundays.
