Main Topic:  The world we dream about, and the one we live in

Main Speaker: Adam Lee

Music: Jes Schneider

Main talk Summary:

It's tough to be an optimist these days. From accelerating climate change to resurgent fascism to soaring inequality, there's no shortage of reasons to despair for the future. But despite these very real evils, it's still possible to hold to a rational optimism. In fact, it's essential, because hope is the engine that powers change for the better. Every great advance in history was brought about by poets and revolutionaries who had the courage to dream of the seemingly impossible. In this talk, I'll offer some reasons to keep that flame alive.
