Main Topic: Meet Gen Z: Religion Among the Least Religious Generation
Main Speaker: Aidan Scully
Music: Johnny Walylko
Main talk Summary:
Gen Z is the least religious generation in American history. But the exodus of young people from religion is already having effects on the shape of American religion, and not necessarily in the ways you'd expect. Gen Z atheist Aidan Scully hopes to raise (and maybe even answer) some big questions about his generation: Who is leaving religion, and who is staying? What do they find so appalling (or appealing) about religion? And what does religion look like to the least religious generation?
Aidan Scully is a writer on religion, politics, and youth issues, an organizer for church-state separation, and a student at Harvard University.
