Main Talk Summary
Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy climate change organization focused on national policies to address the national and global climate crisis. The presentation will focus on the four points of focus currently driving the conversation with Congress. Enroards, the interactive map will be used to illuminate the significance of the points of focus. The goal is to educate the public, get people involved and ultimately lobby the government to help push through legislation that improves or protects our environment.

Main Speaker Bio
Dr. Friedman is a professor of physics at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. His research background is theoretical solid state and chemical physics. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Illinois and has been a volunteer with CCL more than 8 years.

Musician Bio
Singer/songwriter, producer, teacher, and master of ceremonies Ken Gaines has been a staple in the music scene, not only in his former hometown of Houston, but also throughout Texas. With bachelor’s degrees in Theatre Arts and Visual Arts Ken is celebrating his 55th year as a professional performer.
