Jeffrey also writes vocal music and has performed several tunes at Houston Oasis as a singer-songwriter of special original Oasien music. He is going to perform a new song as part of his main talk on Sunday. It is called “And The Name Of This Place Is Oasis.” In it he will give a historical documentation of Houston Oasis along with sharing the meaning and worth of the Oasis movement and what it means to him as a secular humanist. His presentation will be called “Houston Oasis Appreciation Day.” Jeffrey is very proud of this musical presentation and insists that it is not to be missed. (Sheet music to this song will be handed out as a souvenir.)

Musician Bio:
A self described “Jersey Shore Ex-Pat turned West Texas Desert Rat”, for over 15 years, bassist Hank Woji played in some of The Garden State’s most dynamic and innovative bands, performing at clubs, festivals and concert halls from Virginia to Ontario in styles ranging from Folk and Country to Blues, R&B and Rock & Roll.

In the Spring of 2001 Hank moved to Houston, TX, fell in with a bunch of great Texas songwriters, and found his new musical voice as a Singer Songwriter. But it was his chance move, in 2009, to the far West Texas desert town of Terlingua that has most reshaped his life and his music.

Critics have described Hank’s music as “acoustic-wielding, sharply observed, Americana all the way” and being “in the best tradition of the Texas troubadours like Guy Clarke, Townes Van Zandt and Butch Hancock”

Hank has released five critically acclaimed self produced CDs: “Medallion” - 2005, “American Dreams” - 2008, “There Was A Time” - 2010, “Holy Ghost Town” – 2013 and “The Working Life” - 2014. He also has produced three CD singles and the CD “Just Words” by Eileen Kozloff in 2017. He is currently working on his 6th CD, scheduled for release in early 2022.

Over his 40+ year music career, Woji has shared the stage or performed with such diverse artists as: Johnny Winter, Hot Tuna, Jimmy Cliff, The Nighthawks, The Radiators, Jonathan Byrd, Jesse Dayton, Shake Russell, Dana Cooper, David Amram, Bob Livingston, David Massengill, Amy Speace, Ray Bonneville, Grant Peeples, Bill Hearne, Butch Hancock, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Bruce Springsteen and Pete Seeger.

Based in Terlingua, Texas, Hank tours nationally, performing regularly at festivals, coffeehouses, theaters, clubs and house concerts as a solo singer songwriter; in various other duo and trio configurations; and with his TexAmericana Jam Band, The Hank Woji Conspiracy.
