Tell us about yourself...

Having grown up in southeast Texas, I have always been surrounded in a deep Christian culture, though I realized I was no longer a believer while in high school. I've always been a bit different, so it just made sense to me when I stopped to think about everything. I went on to earn my degree in anthropology from UH, and am currently studying front-end web development. I love languages and cultures, play a lot of board and video games, and am a self-proclaimed crochet master.

How long have you been attending Oasis?

Almost 2 years.

Why do you attend Oasis?

Interesting talks, potentially good live music, friendly fellowship.

What do you like most about Oasis and why?

I love learning something interesting from the main talk (and sometimes the community moment) because I'm dedicated to ever-expanding my knowledge and gaining new perspectives on issues.

How has Oasis made a difference in your life?

Oasis has shown me that you can still get the sense of community common in churches without the religion.
